This online form is for Australian Capital Territory residents to request a fingerprint booking appointment.

ACT Policing offers ink-fingerprinting service for the following:

  • Immigration checks
  • Overseas passports
  • Gaming licence
  • Casino Canberra
  • Employment checks

Note, Livescan impressions are unavailable at this time.

Appointments can be offered (depending availability) at City Police Stations, Woden Police Stations or Winchester Police Centre.

What to expect

During your appointment, an ACT Policing member will take sets of prints for each applicant. Each set of fingerprints will include individual fingerprint impressions that are rolled from nail to nail. This includes flat impressions of the fingers and thumbs of both hands. Palm impressions are also taken if required. Following your appointment ACT Policing will provide you with a hardcopy (or sets) of fingerprints to you at the end to take away.

Fingerprinting fees and charges

The cost of taking of a single set of fingerprints is $26 AUD per individual applicant. Payment for fingerprinting services is made in person at the time of your appointment. ACT Policing accepts payment via credit/debit card.

Please note, cash will not be accepted.

What to bring to your appointment 

  • Photographic identification such as a valid driver’s licence or passport.
  • If you have a fingerprint form supplied from another country, please bring it to your appointment.

Please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell or have an injury/wound to either hand.
